SDS Unhappy with Appointment of New Police Chief

Ljubljana, 15 January - The opposition Slovenian Democrats (SDS) believe that the government decision to appoint Interior Ministry advisor Darko Anzelj to head the Slovenian police force is contentious. Responding to Anzelj's appointment as police chief, SDS President Janez Jansa said that the government has decided to appoint a key official for a period of five years only months before the parliamentary elections.
