ZAGREB, Croatia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold a working meeting with his Croatian counterpart Miomir Zuzul in the afternoon. No major breakthrough is expected at the first bilateral ministerial meeting after the appointment of the new Croatian cabinet, but both sides have expressed willingness to defuse bilateral tensions that reached boiling point last year when Croatia declared a protective fisheries and ecological zone in the Adriatic. VIENNA, Austria - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in the first ministerial meeting of the new troika heading the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - Armed Forces Chief of Staff Ladislav Lipic is to continue his three-day visit to Austria.

LJUBLJANA - Representatives of the Italian section of retailer Coop are to visit Slovenia in a bid to get acquainted with the conditions in the Slovenian retail sector. They will also seek information on regulations dealing with the penetration of the Slovenian market.

BERLIN, Germany - Agriculture Minister Franci But is to attend the opening of the 67th Gruene Woche agriculture fair. Minister But is to take this opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with a number of counterparts from the EU member states and acceding countries.

LJUBLJANA - The collegiate body of the National Assembly Speaker is to meet at noon to agree on the agenda of the parliamentary session for January, as well as the time plan for work in February and March.

GALWAY, Ireland - A two-day informal meeting of the EU council on employment and social affairs is scheduled to take place. Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski is due to attend.

LJUBLJANA - A public presentation of views on the draft national programme on drugs for the period between 2003 and 2008 is to be held in parliament, starting at 10 AM.
