YA has more than 8000 apartments in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 17 August - Concerning the transfer of units and equipment of the Yugoslav army from Slovenia, more and more questions are arising in regard to the Housing Fund owned by the Yugoslav Army. The Ljubljana Army Corps Command has told us that there are more than eight thousand of these apartments, and that there is no possibility of Slovenia confiscating them. Namely, the tenants of these apartments, the majority of which are employed by the Army, regularly pay 4.5% of their personal income, therefore there is no legal ground for confiscation. The Ljubljana Army Corps Command is also convinced, that the Republic of Slovenia will act in accordance with its pledges and that it will ensure the legal and social security of those employed in the Yugoslav Army and who will remain in Slovenia, namely owners of property in Slovenia.
