LJUBLJANA - A forum on the free flow of labour after Slovenia's EU accession is to be held by the Labour Ministry as part of the preparations for EU membership. Opening addresses are to be delivered by Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski and EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere. Begins at 9:30 AM. (STA)

DAVOS, Switzerland - President Janez Drnovsek is to attend the 33rd World Economic Forum, which is to run in the Swiss Alpine resort of Davos from 21 to 24 January. On Thursday, the president is to speak about challenges awaiting leading managers in Europe.

SOFIA, Bulgaria - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar is to attend political consultations in Bulgaria as part of Slovenia's preparations to assume the OSCE presidency in 2005.

LJUBLJANA - A panel is to be held at 6 PM upon the conclusion of a two-year study on Slovenian and Croatian emigrants from the aspect of Slovenia and Croatia's democratisation and international recognition.

VIENNA, Austria - Milan Kucan, the former Slovenian president, is to speak about Slovenia and its path from Yugoslavia to the EU in Vienna, at the invitation of the president of the Association of Social Democratic Academicians, Intellectuals and Artists (BSA), Caspar Einem.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic is to be visited by her counterpart from the Croatian city of Rijeka, Vojko Obersnel. A statement to the press at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Market and Media Research Mediana is to give a press conference at 11 AM.

NOVO MESTO - The Slovenian basketball club Novo mesto is to take on CSKA Moscow in the 10 round of the Euroleague, group B, at 8:40 PM. (STA)
