Mramor Says Slovenia for Capping EU Budget, Yet Under Some Conditions
Brussels, 20 January - Slovenia advocates a restrictive EU budget for the 2007-2013 period, which means expenditure of up to 1.24 percent of the gross national product (GNP), but has not determined the precise level. It could agree to a 1-percent cap only given a thorough restructuring of the budget, that is restructuring of structural funds, and reconsideration of expenses for agriculture.
