New, EU-Standard Prison Opened in Koper
Koper, 20 January - The prisoners serving time in the coastal city of Koper will soon be transferred to a new prison. Worth some SIT 2.1bn (EUR 8.8m), the building has been the first investment of the kind in years, and is the first to have been built according to EU standards, said Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak as he officially opened the institution on Tuesday.
