Red Book: The economic condition of Slovenian enterprises last year

Ljubljana, 19 August - The Chamber of Economy of Slovenia has prepared the so called Red Book on the economic condition of Slovenian enterprises last year. Much as expected, the results are worse than in the preceding years. The processing of the data was hampered by the restructuring and other organizational changes in enterprises. As a result, the majority of enterprises have not been included, so that instead of some 7,500 enterprises only 2,500 have been treated and they account for 90 percent of total generated income. The elaboration showed that there are over 3,000 enterprises in Slovenia that exist only fictitiously, without a single employee, whereas 1100 of those that have sent their annual reports are loss-making enterprises.
