Poet and Translator Janez Menart Dies

Ljubljana, 22 January - One of the most popular Slovenian poets, Janez Menart has died in Ljubljana at the age of 74, following a lengthy illness, the Slovenian Writers' Association confirmed on Thursday. Menart is one the four poets who in 1953 published the famed collection of poetry "Poems by Four", one of the cornerstones in the development of Slovenian post-war poetry.
