Drnovsek and Cox Stress Importance of Immediate Adoption of EU Constitution

Davos, 23 January - The deadlock in EU's intergovernmental negotiations on the future constitution of the bloc dominated the meeting President Janez Drnovsek held with President of the European Parliament Pat Cox on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum that is taking place in the Swiss alpine resort of Davos. Cox and Drnovsek agreed that the constitution must be adopted as soon as possible. Drnovsek also held talks with the Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, with whom he examined the stalemate in constitution talks and the negative aspects of European agriculture policy.
