The Slovene Foreign Minister dr.Dimitrij Rupel departed for Rome

Ljubljana, 21 August - In the frame of the diplomatic campaign agreed during the session of the Presidency of the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovene Foreign Minister dr.Dimitrij Rupel departed for Rome today, where he will meet with his Italian counterpart de Michelis. The aim of the meeting is, as reported by the Foreign Ministry, to inform the European countries of the position the Republic of Slovenia finds itself in following the coup in the Soviet Union and the new escalation of the Yugoslav crisis.
