Australian Open: Krizan Advances to Second Round in Mixed Doubles

Melbourne, 25 January - Tina Krizan of Slovenia and her South African playing partner Jeff Coetzee have won their first round match in the mixed doubles competition at the Australian Open on Saturday in Melbourne. The two beat the second-seeded pairing of Russia's Elena Likhovcheva and India's Mahesh Bhupathi 7:6 (7:5), 4:6 and 7:6 (10:8). Krizan and Coetzee will now play Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia-Montenegro and Elena Bovina of Russia in the second round.
