Bled Celebrating Its Millennium This Year

Bled, 26 January - The lakeside resort of Bled, probably the most popular of all tourist destinations in Slovenia, is celebrating its millennium this year. The town was first mentioned in records on 10 April of 1004 when the Holy Roman Emperor Henry II bestowed the Bled estate to Albuin, Bishop of Brixen.
