Rupel to Pay Courtesy Call to New NATO Secretary General

Brussels, 26 January - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is due to meet NATO's new Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer in Brussels on Tuesday as NATO's new chief, in office since 1 January, holds introductory meetings with representatives of the member states, invitees and NATO partner countries. The Slovenian minister has met de Hoop Scheffer before, in his capacity of Dutch foreign minister.
