Rupel to Meet New NATO Secretary General on Tuesday

Brussels, 27 January - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is due to meet NATO's new Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer in Brussels on Tuesday as the new NATO chief, in office since 1 January, holds introductory meetings with representatives of the member states, invitees and NATO partner countries. The Slovenian minister has met de Hoop Scheffer before, in his capacity of Dutch foreign minister.
