Fate of Pulp Production in Krsko to Be Decided in February
Krško, 27 January - The pulp and paper mill Vipap Videm Krsko plans to phase out the ecologically disputable production of pulp by the end of April in a move that would slash the company's workforce by about 400. The final decision is to be made by the supervisory board on 6 February, yet the trade union and the Krsko municipality have urged the authorities to cut the high eco taxes and allow the company to produce pulp until 2007.
