MPs Briefed on Potocnik's Bid for European Commissioner
Ljubljana, 27 January - Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, who has been named Slovenia's candidate for European commissioner, presented his bid Tuesday to the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and the European affairs commission. Potocnik said he is willing to work with all political factions in the European Parliament, but mostly with the Liberal Democrats (ELDR), since he was, after all, appointed by a prime minister from the ranks of Liberals.
