Handball: Spain Overcome Swiss Resistance

Celje, 27 January - Spain has managed to overcome a defiant Swiss team to win 26:24 (13:13) in first round play (group I) of the second-stage at the European Men's Handball Championships. The win means that Spain still has a hope - albeit a slim one - of obtaining one of the top two place in the group that leads to the semi-finals. Two other matches will be played in group I later this evening.
