HE Golica-Koralpen is not a danger to the nearby population

Ljubljana, 23 August - The Ministry of the Environment has not received an official report about the recent event concerning HE Golica-Koralpen, but was informed about a supposed leakage of the constructed dam, form the public media. The Austrian firm of KELAG, has today informed the EGS Development and engineering in Maribor about the recent events and gave assurance that the dam is 100% safe, and that the inhabitants living down stream are in no danger. To determine the actual state of affairs and take appropriate actions for insuring safety, the Ministry for the Environment is planing a visit to Austria, at the beginning of next week, to inspect the actual site.
