Transitional Period for Excise Duty on Gas Approved for Slovenia
Brussels, 28 January - The European Commission has proposed a transitional period in the implementation of the EU's new legislation for Slovenia. Under the proposal, the country will be able to retain, for some time, lower excise duties on natural gas than the minimum set forth in the EU's directive on excise duty rates for energy products.
