Handball: Czech Republic Causes Sensation by Beating France

Ljubljana, 28 January - The Czech team has caused the biggest sensation of the 6th European Men's Handball Championships by upsetting the fancied French team 32:31 (17:15) in second round play of the tournament's second stage. The loss could severely dent France's chances of making the semis, depending on how the two other matches unfold today. Despite their surprising win, the Czech Republic cannot make the semi-finals.
