The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia is for the continuance of cooperation with Slovenia

Zagreb, 24 August - The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia supports the standpoint of the Croatian leadership which expresses the need for coordination and a joint appearance of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia as regards the resolution of the Yugoslav crisis. They carefully studied the initiative of the Slovenian side, which does not anticipate the joint effort of Slovenia and Croatia towards the other Yugoslav republics and foreign countries. As writes the report of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, the initiative which anticipates different statuses of these two republics in regard to the relationship with the other Yugoslav republics and foreign countries is particularly unacceptable. The Croatian Ministry would like to keep as close relations with the leadership of Slovenia as possible.
