Ljubljana, 1 February - British multinational Imperial Tobacco, which owns the majority stake in Ljubljana-based cigarette maker Tobacna, announced its plan to shut down Tobacna as a result of restructuring at the parent company. The decision prompted the government into getting involved in order to help the 260 workers facing the looming lay-off. Meanwhile, Davor Senija, who was ousted as general manager at glassworks Steklarna Rogaska last week, was reinstated by the supervisors of the troubled company on Thursday in an attempt to settle a dispute with the employees.
