Handball: The Best 7 of the European Championships

Ljubljana, 1 February - Croatian playmaker Ivano Balic has been selected the best player of the 6th European Men's Handball Championships that finished in Ljubljana on Sunday. Balic heads a best-seven team that also consists of: Germany's Henning Fritz in goal; Russia's Eduard Koksharov on the left flank; France's Nikola Karabatic at left back; Denmark's Michael Knudsen at pivot; Germany's Volker Zerbe at right back; and Slovenia's Vid Kavticnik on the right flank. The best scorer of the tournament was Croatia's Mirza Dzomba with 46 goals.
