Slovenska Matica Receives Highest State Decoration

Brdo pri Kranju, 4 February - Artists and scientists who have been active within Slovenska matica, an association publishing Slovenian scientific works and fiction, have made a notable contribution to the establishment and development of Slovenianhood. This is what President Janez Drnovsek said Wednesday when he decorated the institution with the golden honorary order of freedom at its 140th anniversary.
