Writers' Association Warns of Troubled Times for Slovenian Books

Ljubljana, 4 February - Ahead of the Slovenian Culture Day, which will take place on 8 February, head of the Writers' Association Vlado Zabot urged lawmakers to back a proposal that would ensure earmarked funds for books to the tune of the annual value-added tax on books. It has been statistically proven that the state invests in books only half of the money that books bring to the state purse, Zabot claims.
