Mrak in Tough Competition for EIB Vice-President from Newcomers

Brussels, 6 February - Mojmir Mrak, a professor at the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics and financial adviser on EU issues, is one of the candidates vying for the post of first vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) from the acceding countries. The candidate to assume the office on 1 May is expected to be agreed upon next week by finance ministers from the ten newcomers.
