Lipus Hopes Preseren Award Will Bring Better Days for the Minority

Ljubljana, 7 February - This year's highest state honour for the achievements in arts was presented to writer Florjan Lipus, one of the major authors of modern Slovenian fiction. Six minor Preseren Fund Awards presented at the Saturday evening ceremony went to clarinetist Mate Bekavac, actor Rados Bolcina, writer Iztok Geister, ballet dancer Alenka Ribic Laufer, painter Oto Rimele and composer Igor Stuhec.
