Pig Breeders Want State to Respond to Soaring Pork Imports

Ljubljana, 9 February - Slovenian pig breeders are ringing the alarm bell, warning that the market price of pork is below the level of sustainability. Moreover, there is a large influx of pork from Hungary, which has once again introduced export subsidies, so the state should consider imposing safeguards, the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (KGZS) said in Monday's press release.
