Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 10 February

Ljubljana, 9 February - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 10 February:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to convene for an emergency session at 2 PM to set a new date for a referendum on the technicalities act on the erased. MPs are also expected to take a decision on the constitutionality of a recent initiative given by two opposition parties to call a referendum on the systemic bill on the erased. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is to join the session of EU ministers for finance and economy.

SEZANA - Minister of Regional Development Zdenka Kovac and president of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia Riccardo Illy are to hold a meeting at 10:30 AM with representatives of the local authorities and commerce chambers in the western Slovenian region of Primorsko. At 2 PM, Kovac is to meet with heads of the two umbrella organisations of the Slovenian minority in Italy, Rudi Pavsic of the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Association (SKGZ) and Sergij Pahor of the Council of Slovenian Organisations (SSO). LJUBLJANA - Swedish Defence Ministry State Secretary Jonas Hjelm is to visit Slovenia at the invitation of the Civil Protection and Disaster Relief Administration. He is to meet with Defence Ministry State Secretary Tomaz Cas at 2:15 PM, while a meeting with Defence Minister Anton Grizold is scheduled for Wednesday.

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar is to meet Executive Director of War-torn Society Project Matthias Stiefel at 3 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Health is to stage a press conference at 11 AM to outline a new model for the allocation of funds for hospitals.

LJUBLJANA - Marjan Kramar, the newly-appointed chairman of Slovenia's largest bank, Nova Ljubljanska Banka, is to meet the press at 12 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A seminar on capital takeovers in the EU is to be staged at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to mark one year since the employment act took effect. (STA)

MARIBOR - Amnesty International Maribor is to hold a round table at 4:30 PM to debate on violence against women and their position in the society.
