Ljubljana, 30 August - THE SLOVENEC: YES, RECOGNITION, RECOGNITION AFTER ALL...? - The statements made by the European Community a month or two ago on the granting of recognition to Slovenia and Croatia in the event that the army should strike again, sounded somewhat cynical. Today, though, Mr. Genscher's proposal that Slovenia and Croatia be given recognition if the hostilities in Yugoslavia continue after September 1st, means the highest level so far of internationalization of the problems faced by both republics.
