Union of Diplomats Says Petrin's Appointment Unlawful

Ljubljana, 10 February - The trade union of Slovenian diplomats has been voicing concerns over the appointment of politicians to ambassadorial posts, according to Dnevnik. They are pleased that an internal job tender has now been issued for posts in Tel Aviv, Beijing, Washington and others, but nevertheless noted that political appointees continue to pour in, the latest example being the appointment of Economics Minister Tea Petrin to the Embassy in the Netherlands, the paper writes on Tuesday.
