Schedule of Events for Wednesday, 11 February

Ljubljana, 10 February - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 11 February:

LJUBLJANA - Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General James Jones is to pay a two-day official visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to hold meetings with FM Dimitrij Rupel, Defence Minister Anton Grizold, Chief-of-Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic, and head of the parliamentary defence committee Rudolf Petan, and give a lecture on the transformation of NATO. LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Janez Potocnik and Mojmir Mrak, member of the government working group for European affairs, are to hold a press conference at 10 AM on the European Commission proposal on the next financial perspective. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary defence committee is to discuss the annual national programme on the implementation of the NATO Membership Action Plan behind closed doors at 2 PM. Also on the agenda will be an initiative to hold a ceremony celebrating Slovenia's accession to NATO.

KLAGENFURT, Austria - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar is to take part in a session of the contact committee of Slovenia and the Austrian province of Carinthia. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Secretary General of the government Mirko Bandelj and Head of the Government Informatics Centre Marin Silic are to talk to the press at 1.30 PM about the development of e-administration in Slovenia. (STA)

CELJE - A public panel on Slovenia's future in the EU is to be attended by EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere and Slovenian Minister of Education, Science and Sports Slavko Gaber.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana Archbishop Franc Rode is to give a press conference at noon. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission for relations with Slovenians abroad is to discuss problems faced by publishers of magazines intended for Slovenians abroad in a session scheduled for 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The opening session of a simulated UN General Assembly meeting is to be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences with the opening address to be delivered by FM Dimitrij Rupel.

LJUBLJANA - The Finance Ministry is to give a press conference at noon on giving the new government jet Falcon 2000EX up for lease. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Citypark, the company running one of Ljubljana's shopping centres, is to talk about its business results and plans for this year at a press conference.

ATHENS, Greece - Slovenia's Union Olimpija is to take on AEK in the 13th round of Euroleague, group A, at 8.10 PM. (STA)
