Mrak Not to Become First EIB Vice-President from Newcomers

Brussels, 10 February - Slovenia has not put through its candidate for the post of the first vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) from the acceding countries. The ten countries' finance ministers have namely appointed the former Czech finance minister Ivan Pilip to assume the post on 1 May, STA learnt from diplomatic sources in Brussels.
