Merkur Plans to Raise Profits by 20 %, CEO Says

Ljubljana, 13 February - The technical goods retailer Merkur, which finished 2003 with profits of SIT 1.9bn (EUR 8m), anticipates that its profits will rise for another 20 percent this year, the company's CEO Bine Kordez told the daily Dnevnik. The sales were up 15 percent although no new stores opened.
