Ljubljana, 15 February - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 16 February:
NEW DELHI, India - Strengthening Slovenia's ties with an increasingly important global player and an emerging economy will be high on the agenda as Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel begins a two-day official visit to India. Rupel's itinerary includes meetings with his opposite number Yashwant Sinha and the Minister of Commerce and Industry Arun Jaitley. Rupel is also scheduled to meet with representatives of the association of Indian commerce and industrial chambers. He is also expected to sign an air traffic agreement between the countries. Moreover, the foreign minister will speak about the role of small countries in Europe at the Institute for International Relations in New Delhi.
LJUBLJANA - Albanian President Alfred Moisiu is scheduled to begin a two-day official visit to Slovenia. Stability in the Western Balkans, as well as further expansion of the EU and NATO are expected to top talks with Slovenian officials. Moisiu will be paying the red carpet visit at the invitation of the Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek. Apart from Drnovsek, the Albanian president is also scheduled to hold talks with National Assembly Speaker Borut Pahor and Prime Minister Anton Rop. Talks with the leader of the opposition Slovenian Democrats (SDS), Janez Jansa, are also scheduled to take place. A press conference is scheduled for 11:40 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Petrol, the leading Slovenian petrol trader, and Slovenia's largest wireless operator Mobitel are to hold a joint press conference at 1 PM to present a new way of paying at the petrol stations. (STA)
TEL AVIV, Israel - Culture Minister Andreja Rihter is scheduled to kick off a three-day official visit to Israel.
LJUBLJANA - Zavod Sv. Stanislava, a Catholic secondary school in Ljubljana, is to hold a press conference at noon after the conclusion of a two-day seminar on the identity of Catholic school in the 21st-century Europe.
