Planica: Germany's Spaeth Wins Friday Competition

Planica, 20 February - Germany's Georg Spaeth is the winner of the first competition of the World Ski-Flying Championships, which kicked off in Planica on Friday. Placing second was Finland's Tami Kiuru, while Norway's Roar Ljoekelsoey finished third. Robert Kranjec, the best of the Slovenian team, placed eighth in the competition, which was interrupted several times because of strong wind.
