All Nations Must Be Equal in the EU, Drnovsek and Halonen Say

Helsinki, 25 February - "I am confident that Slovenia will fare well in the EU, if it continues the way it has so far as an excellent candidate for membership," Finland's President Tarja Halonen told the press after meeting her Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek in Helsinki on Wednesday. She stressed the need to keep in mind that the Union does not represent the whole of Europe and that Europe is not the whole world, which she believes Slovenia is well aware of in the face of its stint as OSCE president next year.
