Solidarity to Be Put First in EU Finance Talks, Nicolai Says

Ljubljana, 25 February - The Netherlands believes that the basic guideline of the talks on the future financial perspective of the EU should be the principle of solidarity. The country believes that the spending at current levels provides more than enough funds for solidarity with new member states, poorer regions and Lisbon agenda priorities. This is what the visiting Dutch Europe Minister Atzo Nicolai told the press in Ljubljana.
