Ljubljana, 27 February - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 27 February:
LJUBLJANA - A draft resolution on the 2004-2007 National Culture Programme and another on drugs for the period from 2003 to 2008 are to be discussed by parliament at 10 AM and 1.30 PM, respectively. Before completing its February session, parliament is also due to debate a bill on EU customs regulations (third reading). A vote is to be taken on the appointment of Franc Testen to the post of Supreme Court president. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The Statistics Office is to present an analysis of trends of consumer prices in Slovenia in comparison with EU members and acceding countries; at 10.30 AM.(STA)
LJUBLJANA - The strategic council for health reform, a body advising PM Anton Rop, is to meet, with a statement to the press scheduled for 4 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - An agreement is to be signed by PM Anton Rop and president of the Slovenian Students' Organisation Darko Krajnc in what is a kind of a social agreement between the two parties; at 11 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Swedish parliamentary foreign policy committee is to complete a two-day visit to Slovenia by meeting chair of the Slovenian parliamentary European affairs commission Alojz Peterle.
TRIESTE, Italy - Representatives of the Slovenian minority are to speak about how the minority protection act is being implemented three years after its adoption; 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The council of the coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to meet at 10 AM to elect a new chair and discuss the party's programme for this year's elections.
LJUBLJANA - The People's Party (SLS) is to give a press conference at noon to speak about some topical issues, including the creation of Euroregions.
POSTOJNA - At 7 PM, SDS leader Janez Jansa and MEP observer Miha Brejc are to discuss topical issues ahead of Slovenia's EU entry.
ROME, Italy - GRECO president Drago Kos is to speak about how to fight corruption and promote the public ethic at a Council of Europe conference. Kos is a state undersecretary in Slovenia's Corruption Prevention Office.
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Ljubljana Archbishop and Slovenian Metropolitan Franc Rode is to begin a two-day visit to Slovakia, responding to an invitation by Trnava-Bratislava Archbishop Jan Sokol.
