EU Inspectors Satisfied with Progress in Toxic Substances Monitoring

Ljubljana, 27 February - A European veterinary inspection mission has established that Slovenia has made substantial progress in the monitoring of toxic substances in animals and products of animal origin. The inspectors commended the response to the detection Chloramphenicol in milk, activities in legislation and the work of labs, saying all activities should wrap up by Slovenia's EU entry, an official of the Slovenian Veterinary Administration (VURS) said as the inspectors concluded their visit to Slovenia.
