Slovenia Takes Part in ISAF Mission in Afghanistan

Ljubljana/Kabul, 29 February - The most important decisions that NATO adopted as part of its programme following the attacks on 11 September 2001 include the expansion of its missions outside the Euro-Atlantic region. The first such mission is the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. As future NATO member, Slovenia will participate with an 18-member body of soldiers, a 6-member advance party having left last Wednesday.
