Recovery Short-Lived for Benchmark Index

Ljubljana, 1 March - Losers outnumbered winners among blue chips by two to one as the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) opened for trading Monday. The benchmark SBI 20 thus continued to slide after a short upsurge last week prompted by the release of largely upbeat 2003 results. The SBI 20 today slipped 7.44 points (0.18 percent) to close at 4,113.27.
