Eco Tax Decree to Save Pulp Production at Vipap

Ljubljana, 3 March - The government has proposed a decree that fixes the upper limit for environmental taxes in a bid to preserve the pulp production at paper producer Vipap Videm Krsko and save 250 jobs until 2007. By then, a programme of restructuring and reemployment of workers will have to be drawn up, PM Anton Rop said following Wednesday's meeting with Vipap management and trade union representatives.
