NATO to Enlarge Already at the End of March

Brussels, 3 March - NATO enlargement could take place even before 2 April, which has so far been mentioned as the most likely enlargement date. According to U.S. plans, the seven acceding countries are to deposit their ratification documents already at the end of March at a special ceremony in Chicago, NATO sources said Wednesday, explaining that the date of deposit legally counts as the day of NATO entry.
