WELLINGTON, New Zealand - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to conclude a two-day visit to New Zealand after meeting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Phil Goff, Speaker of the Parliament Jonathan Hunt and several other officials. (STA)

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Franci But is to visit Slovakia upon an invitation of his counterpart Zsolt Simon. EU-related topics are to top the agenda of But's two-day visit.

BANJA LUKA, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy Minister Janez Kopac is to leave for a two-day working visit to Banja Luka to meet Republic Srpska PM Dragan Mikerevic and Minister of Economics, Energy and Development Milan Bogicevic. On Friday, he is to meet Bosnia-Herzegovina Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Ramiz Mehmedagic and Republic Srpska Minister of Spatial Planning Mensur Sehagic.

PORTOROZ - At 9.30 AM, a two-day conference is to begin discussing European (corporate) law and its implementation. The second conference organised by the publisher Gospodarski vestnik is to be opened by EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The oil trader Istrabenz and home appliances maker Gorenje are to present plans to get engaged in power trade through a newly-established joint venture Istrabenz-Gorenje; at 3 PM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Vlado Dimovski, minister of labour, family and social affairs, is to take part in a meeting of his counterparts from the EU which is to discuss preparations for the spring session of the European Council.

LJUBLJANA - At its weekly session, the government is to discuss a number of bills, including a bill on electronic communications, changes to the banking act, to the consumer's protection act and to the media act. Press conference at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Josip Jurcic Fund is to confer its awards onto (free-lance) journalists, and editors in the evening. At 11 AM the fund is to give a press conference. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana city council is to discuss, in an emergency session beginning at 3.30 PM, whether to stage a referendum on the construction of a mosque in Ljubljana.

NOVA GORICA - Hit, a company which runs several casinos, is to speak to the press at 5 PM presenting its plans to implement national tourism strategies.

LJUBLJANA - A panel on "What Is the Job of Editor-in-Chief?" is to be held as part of a forum of journalists organised by the Peace Institute.

KOPER - The Slovenian Bishops' Conference is to convene for its 18th session.
