KBC Happy with Its Position in NLB

Brussels, 4 March - The Belgian financial group KBC says it is perfectly content with its position in the leading Slovenian bank, Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB), in which it controls a 34-percent stake. "Cooperation with the other shareholders is good, and I hope the new NLB chairman Marjan Kramar will further increase profits, although we are very satisfied with the 2003 results," KBC's chief executive Willy Duron stated in Brussels on Thursday. He said the group was not planning any changes in the ownership structure or business strategy.
