Slovenia Needs Arguments, Not Populism, Rop Says

Ljubljana, 4 March - Prime Minister Anton Rop expects that the nature of the campaign ahead of November's parliamentary elections in Slovenia will prove the crucial factor in deciding the election outcome. "If issues linked to populism, xenophobia and other issues that incite hatred dominate, the parties who lead such campaigns should definitely fair better as a result," Rop assessed. However, if attention is directed at issues that are important to Slovenia, the LDS has nothing to worry about, Rop told a radio interview on Thursday.
