Slovenska Matica Urges Gov't to Protect Minorities

Ljubljana, 5 March - "Some recent events have alerted us that Slovenia's accession to the EU will not automatically solve open historical issues with neighbouring countries and that without our efforts the situation of the Slovenian minorities in Austria and Italy will not be settled properly." This is what Slovenska matica, an association promoting Slovenianhood, wrote in a statement of protest addressed to the government.
