Slovenia to Join Euro ASAP, Potocnik Tells EUpolitix

Brussels, 5 March - "The plan is that Slovenia joins the euro as soon as possible...The reasons behind this decision are relatively simple. Firstly, the macro-economic situation is good and it is stable. Secondly, the momentum from enlargement still exists. Ninety percent of the population supports the introduction of the euro and this puts Slovenia on the top position among accession countries in this respect," Europe Minister Janez Potocnik told the online paper EUpolitix.
