World Indoors: Osovnikar Breaks National Record on Way to 5th

Budapest, 5 March - Setting a new national record of 6.58s, Slovenia's Matic Osovnikar finished fifth in Friday's final of the men's 60 metres at the World Indoor Athletic Championships in Budapest. Osovnikar, who had initially bettered the national mark in the heats (6.60s), was even faster in the final. He finished 0.09s behind the winner, Jason Gardener of Great Britain. Second place went to Shawn Crawford of the U.S. (6.52s); Greece's Yeoryios Theodoridis (6.54) was third.
